Photographing people is a particular paradox.  On the one hand, I want to capture a person's energy, movement and vibrancy.  On the other hand, the camera freezes the moment, transforming the fluid into the static.  The result is an intriguing duality : a still image that nevertheless evokes a sense of movement and life.

By freezing a moment, the viewer is invited to fill in the missing pieces of the puzzle themselves.  What preceeded this moment ?  What happens next ?  The static photograph becomes a starting point for an infinite number of stories.
